Equity Bank's digital transformation required a mobile-first banking platform that could serve 100K+ customers with account management, bill payments, loan applications, and investment tracking — all integrated with their core banking system.
Legacy core banking systems are notoriously difficult to integrate with. The client needed a modern mobile experience without replacing their existing infrastructure, while meeting PCI-DSS and FCA regulatory requirements.
We built a React Native app with a Node.js middleware layer that abstracts the core banking APIs, providing a clean, modern interface. Biometric authentication, real-time notifications, and an investment dashboard were built on top of the secure middleware.
